Programme Overview
This internship is designed for high-potential candidates seeking hands-on exposure to real projects, not theoretical work.
Interns will be directly involved in supporting the execution and management of live strategic initiatives, including:
* Hydropower and renewable energy financing
* Infrastructure (rail, highways, logistics corridors)
* Healthcare system development
* Financial services and capital markets transactions
* Agriculture and supply chain transformation
You will learn how to structure, manage, and execute projects end-to-end, working alongside senior leadership and external partners (banks, governments, advisors).
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Execution
* Support tracking of multiple ongoing projects across sectors
* Assist in preparing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables
* Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
* Monitor project progress and highlight risks or delays
2. Investment & Financial Analysis
* Assist in preparing investment decks, teasers, and proposals
* Conduct basic financial analysis (IRR, cash flows, project returns)
* Support due diligence processes (technical, financial, ESG)
3. Strategic Research
* Conduct research on:
* Market opportunities in Laos and ASEAN
* Sector trends (energy, infrastructure, healthcare, etc.)
* Potential partners (investors, contractors, operators)
4. Stakeholder & Partner Engagement
* Prepare briefing materials for meetings with:
* Government agencies
* International investors (e.g., banks, funds)
* Strategic partners
* Take meeting notes and follow up on action points
5. Business Development Support
* Assist in identifying new opportunities aligned with Mekong Group’s strategy
* Support preparation of proposals and concept notes
* Contribute to pipeline development across key sectors

Requirements
* Undergraduate or graduate student in:
* Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Public Policy, or related fields
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and presentation abilities
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment
* Interest in infrastructure, energy, or emerging markets is a strong advantage
